Judy Stanczyk owns and operates Artglass Creative Studio, formerly known as Art Glass Unlimited. But the story started 31 years ago when Judy’s husband signed up for a class at the studio and since there was an opening he asked if she wanted to join him for the class. Being a stay at home mom, she jumped at the chance to have a date night with her husband and a night of adult conversation! Judy found that she was very good at the craft and the classes presented an opportunity to explore her creative side. Judy was asked to work part time for Karen, the former owner. After several years working with Karen and growing her knowledge and passion for glass creations, she was needed in her husband’s business. This slight detour did not dampen Judy’s passion and desire for her former life surrounded by glass and unique creations.
In 2009 Judy returned to the studio but as Karen’s business partner. It was a fun time, as Judy remembers working with her friend Karen and working daily with great customers and patrons. Sadly, in 2011 Karen passed. Judy, now sole owner, operates the business. With her years of experience, she finds it rewarding to introduce new hobbyists to the world of art glass. Sharing her passion for those who create and those that simply appreciate the unique pieces on the showroom for sale Judy has a knack of connecting with people through art.
In 2016, Judy changed the name to Artglass Creative Studio to better showcase the company’s offerings through classes and special events at the studio.
